President Obama, Massachusetts Election a Beacon of hope for your easily Achievable success and objectives

Author: Anthony Tharpe

President Obama work for the people as you have pledged. Don’t let your agenda be driven by special interest for special interest groups. The results of a vote taken in one state does not represent the sentiments of the entire nation. Others in your administration and across the opposing isle have already accepted defeat and find an execuse in this election result not to progress and therefore have overtly as well as possibly covertly pledged a lack of action. Further are you to lead the rest of the country based on what a very small number of votes have decided may be best for them and their state? That concept is certainly not what democracy is all about. Health care reform must be continued and pushed even faster as the threat is evident from detractors that they will kill the bill in favor of political mileage.

Mr. President, it didn’t take a genus to see this coming. I don’t know why you insist on being guided my misnomers pushed by your advisors who are obviously not in touch with the sentiments of the majority of the people who elected you to make dramatic change to a system which simply does no longer represent the aspirations for success and empowerment demanded by an intellectually developed nation. The People and citizens of this country are not interested in political games, they want to see results which favor their empowerment and subsequently improve their quality of life. The prognosis from those of us who don’t get paid to give an opinion is that you are headed for continual defeat simply because you are losing perspective of what you promised and have not delivered. This is something you can easily correct or fix! Act with stealth in implementing real change.

When the nation sees a reneging on the pledges you have made on very simply doable items and subjects matter Mr. President; inaction which affect the rights and welfare of the people; uncalled for delays and decision arcane in making and destructive in terms of national unity; when simple decisions doable by merely the will of the President does not get done in a more than timely manner, it bears serious political consequence. There are absolutely no intellectually civilized reasons for your lack of action on simple matters which deserve no debate. The electorate gave you a mandate Mr. President., carry it through in a more timely manner and you will be rewarded. Continue along the path of deliberate delays and giving uncontrolled power to disruptive elected officials in your own party, who simply abuse the people’s demands in pursuit of their own selfish, self-centered agenda, which is in effect self-serving, will result in severe punishment for you and your party, especially for a president who knows he is being judged by a much higher standards.

Mr. President, people don’t believe there is any logic in putting off the necessary and needed decision; followed by effective actions, which would establish an administration, committed to integrity, transparancy and truth. No longer are people willing to accept waiting decades for things that can be implemented immediately, again and especially in light that the delays will cause catastrophic hurt and pain for the majority of Americans while serving to benefit the greedy minority interest. You Mr. President, must NOW begin to ask yourself a very simply question; Why am I functioning in “Snail mail mode”, when your electorate is operating on the internet in real time and attitude?

  • Why have I allowed the continued lack of transparancy in military and other affairs of the nation, claiming its serves no real purpose to do so. Denying the very rights guaranteed to all in the USA by the very constitution which allowed me to be in office? Your administration has continually blocked the release of information which makes no logical sense to block. Except of course Mr. President; and I truly don’t believe so, if you are amongst those who would like to hide their actions until they are long dead and gone and out of reach of justice. More damaging Mr. President, is that you are actively involved in blocking the ruling of the courts, which has ruled that the information must be released in accordance to Federal laws. If your actions to block the release of information is founded in thinking, “well it will fuel increased actions of terrorist”, Mr. President, you awe-to also have been advised that the terrorists already have the information and are blowing it out of proportion, using it and your administrations’ cover up to further their agenda. Releasing information to intellectually able people can only allow them the tools to become more understanding of the problems of the work you need to do effectively justifying necessary actions, needed and taken.  It’s not doing you or this nation any favors or good; only fueling distrust of our government. By the practice of the many overt cover-ups like the now policy; a carry over from the previous administration, you serve only to alienate yourself from the trust of the people whom have vested as well as invested their trust in your pledged promises.  This is a policy inherited but One which you have now made your own. And one which is bound to haunt you in any future elections. Its simply foolish to be frank Mr. President to be even associated with any of the aforementioned concerns of the people. You need to rethink these actions which simply make no intelligible sense. If the terrorist already know and have the information from first hand experiences with what went on in the back offices of the interrogators, then really, who are you denying an understanding of the problem? Certainly not them!
  • Why have I not signed off on simple promises to eliminate the “Don’t ask don’t tell” in the military, when in fact it’s not about just the military? It’s about the larger society which views a lack of doable action as indecision without any logical reason or foundation to justify the delays. There is none Mr. President. And if the advise you are getting is to do it later so it will help in your reelection bid, well Mr. President bad advise. People don’t like to be played or used. People don’t forget either. You are receiving and therefore relying on bad advice. Why are you delaying the inevitable Mr. President? I am assuming merely to satisfy a few who continue to think violating the constitutional rights of the people can be delayed simply because they feel it should? Or when its convenient to reelection bids. If simple changes like the aforementioned remind shelved for convenience, there will be no reelection of Barack Obama. This end result will satisfy quite a lot of the people who continue to do all they can to ensure a failed presidency. You Mr. President will become another David Dinkins if you continue along this path. Whether you like it or not President Obama, your failure will have consequential effect for future “so called”, minority presidents! Do as much as you can now and let reelection worry about itself Mr. President. The longer you take to show leadership and strength in getting things done, giving the world the feeling that you are not event in charge of your own party, the lower your chances for a second term. Ride the wave of successful stealthy effected changes made by your administration into the reelection, not the other way around President Obama. Tomorrow is promised no one Mr. President; live and govern today, as though this is your last day to make the United States the very best country in the universe. And I did specify Universe with deliberate intent.
  • Why am I taking the path of the people who practiced JIM CROW, putting off what is simply the right thing to do, for years at a time before becoming OF value to the people; e.g. of past actions which equate to the actions you are now taking or rather not talking; the delaying of the rights of blacks as was done in the past, to cast their vote after emancipation. Claiming the population was not ready, law makes deliberately delayed their and these very rights guaranteed under the constitution. Those consequential actions of delaying what the people would have accepted regardless if made into law, equates to delaying the benefits of healthcare reform until 2015 and beyond; or equal to the deliberate delayed action you have chosen to take as it relates to the housing sector crises now being faced and to be faced by millions of American homeowners; or the delayed actions on issues, which again you know will be and must be done to satisfy the civil rights of the Gay community. The arrogance and ignorance of the statuesque and people in power of past eras, which kept people in less than equitably humane sociopolitical existence, practices now rejected by the majority in this country as well as Countries globally, things we have now accepted as being critical to living in a civilized society if and when lacking, are not quit gone, but your actions, taken swiftly, will help to kill once and for all. The aforementioned represents very much  the same way, you, your advisors and your elected party officials; including those from both the Senate and the House of Representatives, are now claiming and taking under the guise that the nation is not capable of or ready to handle certain information and or changes if and when done quickly. As stated before Mr. President, things may not be perfect, but we; the majority, certainly don’t think that way again, or believe we should postpone what is good, decent and necessary for maintaining this civil society. Americans have very short tolerance for unnecessary academic debate and delays, in light of needed and necessary demands.
  • Why have I not given the people what they want in the Health bill? There is more than enough evidence to give you the data about our demands. Don’t ever forget that you are representing the demands of a democratic nation, where the majority decision rules. Or so it should. You cannot preach democracy and then allow your advisors to guide you towards a practice of dictatorship Mr. President. Your advisors are leading you along a path of constitutional challenges in volition of the rights of the people, and frankly simply put Mr. President, doing the right thing in a timely manner is constitutionally the correct thing to do! The people wanted the public option and not a commitment from your administration to increase insurance companies profits by penalizing people for their freedom of choice. Forcing anyone to buy any product is a vagrant breach of constitutional laws. This is something you know and it should not be put in any bill more so a healthcare policy, thus causing needed  but necessary legal challenges; if included, to protect the people you are working to help from the very program you are working to implement; healthcare reform. Healthcare reform should be in active service of the people not seated in legal battles. The healthcare reform has been too long in debate by unconscionable politicians who seem energetically too objective to care about the human suffering, to finally pass a bill only to have it locked in lengthy legal litigation.
  • Why was my team caught sleeping at the wheel? evidenced by the results of the Massachusetts elections results? When you find that answers Mr. President you will also find why you are constantly getting bad advice. Your team is out of touch, lack the fighting skills and will continue to think keeping silent on the issues will bring truth. The more the word is spoken the more believable it becomes especially when there are no challenges. Your opposition knows and has proven this fact. If the attitude of your team is that; the people will come when President Obama speaks, then your team simply needs to take a refresher course in understanding the nature of man. “We want, what we want, when we want it”. That's never going to change in the demand for the changes you were elected to effect. This is something you must do President Obama, there are no options if you expect to have the support of not just Americans here at home but throughout the world. Implement reform and change, you don’t need to wait!
  • Why do I insist on following a path of trying to sit and delay progress for the entire nation simply because of some misguided advise that  giving unwanted inclusion in the decision making process by and with those Politian’s defeated at the poles; those rejected by the electorate, the opportunity to ruin success? Who will be held accountable Mr. President for the continued rejection of your hand to be bipartisan? You may not know this Mr. President but, when you do this unnecessary outreach, some people may say you are trying to be bipartisan, others; the majority, are going to say you just don’t know when to and when not to. The reality for the majority of people IN THIS COUNTRY is that you are leading a weak majority; repeat VERY WEAK Majority, who and which are just plain afraid to make big decisions. They cannot make decision on their own for fear of what the other side may say or do or preach.  Mr. President the very essence of a democracy is that the team that gets defeated and becomes the minority, becomes merely a watch dogs in the process. Not the participants in obstructive actions defeating progress merely to score political points. In short Mr. President, it also makes you seem to be a weak administrator, even when we know you are not. Perception however becomes reality in the real world. That is not a good place to be for any leader of industry or government, much more so the President of the greatest economy on the planet. In a democracy, the majority rule, not the other way around. Mr. President you must know what that means! Stop empowering these people who believe the demise of the very people they represent is noble political warfare, merely to defeat your agenda and any of the promises you have made. But then again Mr. President, this is something you have been told time and time again by the very majority that elected you to office. The poles have said it clearly. Use your office and the elected majority which you have to find strategy to implement the programs you sold to the American electorate as well as the world using a majority vote. This bipartisan foolhardiness will not be seen or taken as a satisfying excuse for your failure. The former administration made policy and implement their programs using what tools  given to them under the constitution. There was no reaching across the isle. There was no excuse that we don’t have the support of the opposition. They implemented their policies and that is what you must do. So why are you listing to advisors who are constantly telling you, you need to have the support of the minority party to effect good policy? Your supporters keep asking the same questions Mr. President. The people you are giving power to disrupt the changes the American people voted for, are in the minority, and you are not. You have been placed in the highest office in the land because the people gave you the power to effect change. They wanted you there for that reason and that reason only. Good programs and good policy will not be defeated whether passed by a majority of 51 vote or sixty. There are no valid excuses for the many months of delays involving the Democrats using all sort of anachronistic operational policy to demean the progress needed to save this nation a world of future pain from civil unrest if specific needs are not met in a timely manner. DO you think the American people would sit idly by and allow the Republicans to change a new healthcare plan that provides them with options, and lowers cost even if passed by 51 votes? I don’t think so Mr. President. The very most they can do when in the driving seat is to try to improve on it so they can claim some credit. So this excuse of waiting is self-imposed delays, which is merely an unjustifiable excuse. An excuse is just that; an excuse! What makes it really bad for you Mr. President is that these excuses are coming from the Democrats when it comes to passing this reform. The Republicans cannot pass a bill. So why are we even having this conversation Mr. President.

The defeat in Massachusetts  is a massage that THE PEOPLE ARE DEMANDING THE CHANGES YOU PROMISED, and that your are no longer willing to wait on polite articulate excuses from other democrats, some who have sold their souls to leading industry. Modern America and the World are way past that kind of thinking Mr. President. Thinking which is continually shoved down the throats of the citizens of this country, choking intelligent people with a dead  unacceptable strategy, that they don’t know what they want, or that they are not intellectually ready for change that benefits them and the majority of people. That foolish argument was defeated at the poles with your election to office President Obama. Mr. President, the biggest irony is that you and your presidency; who and which respectively, are  products and beneficiary of the demanded change guaranteed under the constitution, when made by the people in a democratic election, by your action or inaction are now the vanguard of its defeat. By also allowing the same  inaction on the part of elected representatives of the people, who claim they are acting in the best interest of the people by not acting  or voting in the very people’s best interest is definite sign of failure. Party politics at the expense of the people and reelection ambitions of selfish politicians seem to be the prime objective of quiet a few politicians in the US government. To be elected is more important than taking  necessary actions even when it means preventing the hurting of the very people of the United States whom they expect to vote them in office. Listen to the people Mr. President, get rid of advisors and party stalwarts, whom have been a part of the establishment and loving every minute of the games of the statuesque. Old dogs can’t be taught new tricks; why? because they simply refuse to learn.

  • Why have I tolerated the delays of needed actions to help homeowners, the very people whose tax dollars were used to bail out Wall Street? Theses are the issues Mr. President. And why have my administration simply ignored plans submitted to my offices that will serve to solve the housing crisis and create millions of jobs, even when the programs were submitted month ago? Mr. President if you dont have the information you need to find why is it that your team has kept it from you. Creating Jobs; providing a permanent solution which will not cost the federal government a hemorrhage in revenue and providing small businesses with capital not at the expense of the tax payers, must be at the top of the agenda in tandem with healthcare reform. Not pushed to the side. Again plans for these beneficial programs are probably buried in the many submissions you have received.
  •  Why am I focused on a second term instead of putting all my plans into effect during my first? And WHY Mr. President are you taking advise to secure a second term, by delaying the passage into law of things promised and demanded by the American population to a more advantageous time, if that’s the case? These are changes not just demanded by the people and evidences in the  poles and surveys but constitutionally to what they are entitled.

In closing Mr. President; you need to take charge; fire a few of the old guards not necessarily by chronological order of age, but evidenced in habit, attitudes and practice. The American people are not willing to tolerate the old way of doing business. Their impatience is justifiable. This is not the 14th Century. Information, exposure to national, international and global politics is easily available. We no longer live in the Dark Ages guided by blind loyalty and trust in corruptible political leadership and administrations and what they say. We now have the capability to research, see, verify and judge for ourselves. Your Platform Mr. President was to effect change consistent with bringing a more equitable society in which every American resident and citizen will have the ability to grow to their fullest potential, all this being done in a global environment of understanding and improved relationship with the rest of the world. You are being held and judge by a higher standard Mr. President since you committed your integrity to effecting the needed changes. We are people who want to live in that improved world of change and not hope it will only be for our future generations. Sharing it with them; our future generations, seems a much more welcoming prospect. It’s doable President Obama, forget the second term, make it happen now. Ride the wave of success into your second.
